A Concept Note for Visionaries, Seekers, and Change-makers

The Vision

Create a world where Hinduism is not just a philosophy to be studied, but a living, breathing force for personal growth, community transformation, and societal good.

We are CHG - Creating Hindu Groundswell.

The Mission

To build a global platform which acts as a springboard for a movement dedicated to Applied Hinduism.

The Challenge

Today, Hinduism is often misunderstood—reduced to rituals, stereotypes, or exotic spirituality. Its profound, practical wisdom remains untapped in public discourse.

Meanwhile, millions of Hindus worldwide are quietly living its principles—serving, innovating, leading, and healing—without recognition or a shared narrative.

We lack a space where:

  • The unsung heroes of Hindu values are celebrated.
  • The practical application of Dharma is showcased as a modern tool for change.
  • Hindus and non-Hindus alike can witness Hinduism in action, beyond temples and textbooks.

Our Purpose

CHG is a digital and community platform designed to:

  • Document and elevate stories of individuals and groups practising Hinduism’s core principles - Seva (selfless service), Ahimsa (non-         violence), Vasudhaiva
  • Kutumbakam (the world as one family), Dharma (righteous duty) - to create tangible impact.
  •  Build a new identity for Hindus globally - one defined by action, compassion, and contribution.
  • Inspire a broader audience, including non-Hindus, to engage with Hindu values as universal tools for ethical living and social change.

How It Works: Pillars of the Platform

Profile Stories of Unsung Heroes

Deep-dive narratives of individuals, families, and organisations applying Hindu principles to solve real-world problems - from environmental conservation and education to social justice and mental health. Examples:

A doctor in rural India offering free healthcare as Seva.
A tech professional in Silicon Valley integrating Yogic mindfulness into corporate wellness.
A community in Kenya practising Anna Danam (food charity) to combat hunger.

Applied Hinduism in Action

Case studies, projects, and initiatives demonstrating how Hindu teachings are being implemented to drive community transformation.
Toolkits and resources for individuals and groups to launch their own initiatives.

Global Dialogue and Perception Shift

Curated content for non-Hindus to explore Hinduism through its actionable values, fostering cross-cultural respect and collaboration.
A reframing of the Hindu identity—from passive tradition-keepers to proactive world-shapers.

Why This Matters?

For Hindus: It’s an opportunity to reclaim and redefine our identity - proudly rooted in tradition, yet dynamically engaged with today’s challenges.

For the World: It presents Hinduism as a relevant, compassionate, and solution-oriented way of life, contributing to global conversations on ethics, sustainability, and human unity.

For Future Generations: It creates a legacy of role models and a blueprint for living Dharma in the modern world.
